OUR PEOPLE

John Graeme Bavich started of his working carrier as an apprentice mechanical fitter and turner with the Fremantle Port Authority in 1963. His commitment to excellence over the next 20 years allowed him to excel and held positions with one of the largest construction companies in the country. At Monadelphous Engineering he held the position of regional Manager for the Goldfields and ultimately Construction Superintendant of Australia.

He established JGB Contracting Services in 1983, based in Kalgoorlie and operating thoughout the eastern goldfields of Western Australia, with his commitment to service it quickly became a contractor of choice to companies such as Roche Bros- Super pit, Loongana Lime, Toll West, Boral. They established a cliental of over 100 regular clients.

John (Senior) now applies his experience to guide JGB Cranes in a direction that ensures that service to its clients is a priority and it is delivered without compromise safely at all times.

John Bavich (junior) is the General Manager of the business. He is involved with all aspects of the daily running of the company. From his early days working as a boiler maker he saw the benefit of developing his skills in all aspects of the construction industry. He gained valuable knowledge and training from rigging, crane driving to supervision.

He honed his skills and then established Kourtnies Cranes in the Goldfields. After some 5 years operating his independent crane hire business he joined JGB Contracting Services to help develop their crane hire capacity. When the time was right he joined forces with his father to establish JGB Cranes in Perth.

John (Junior) has brought his enthusiasm to the business and with his fathers guidance developed a very strong cliental base is Perth. With his “can do” attitude and eye for detail, he ensures that he and his staff always service their clients to the highest standards.

Vicky Bavich started with JGB Contracting and Service as a trainee office assistant when she was only 16 years old. From this early start in business she was given the opportunity to learn the business from the ground up and achieved to role of office manager and crane co coordinator.

She owned and operated her own transport company with her husband for several years.

Vicky is now the office manager of JGB Cranes and managers all the administration tasks of the business on a daily basis.

Organisation Structure

Our employees are highly trained and competent in all tasks they carry out. They review each step of their tasks and take the appropriate actions to eliminate (where possible) any risks to themselves, our clients staff and equipment whether ours or our clients.

They will ensure that they operate as efficently as they can ensuring zero harm to all persons involved, all equipment and the environment.
